Varsity Head Coach
Jake Storey
Coach Storey is a 1994 graduate of John McEachern High School, where he participated in Baseball, Football, and Wrestling at the varsity level. While at McEachern, Coach Storey received All-Cobb County honors in both Baseball and Football, as well as being a member of the 1993 AAAA State Championship Wrestling Team. In March of 1994, he received player of the week award from the Georgia Dugout Club.
After high school, Coach Storey pitched at Andrew College in Cuthbert, Georgia. While at Andrew College, he received the Region 17 Player of the Month award for the month of February. In 1996 Coach Storey transferred to the University of West Georgia and pitched for the #3 final ranked team in Division II in 1998.
Coach Storey is in his 17th year at Harrison. Coach Storey’s teaching duties are currently United States History
The Storey family consists of his 2 children, Cole and Reese, and his wife Amanda Storey.

Varsity Assistant Coach
Jason Evans
Coach Evans is a 1994 graduate of Franklin County HS in Winchester, TN where he participated in baseball and football. He was a 3 time All-District and All-State selection in baseball during his high school career.
Coach Evans went on to play baseball for two years at Motlow State Community College for Don Rhoton. While at Motlow State as a freshman, he was named 2nd Team Jr. College All-American as a DH and All-State as a Catcher. During his sophomore season, he was named 3rd Team Jr. College All-American and All-State as a Catcher. Coach Evans continued his career at the University of Tennessee for Rod Delmonico. He helped his team win the SEC East Division as a junior and was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll as a Senior. After his collegiate career, Coach Evans played two seasons in an Independent Professional League for the Tennessee Tomahawks and the Tennessee T’s.
Coach Evans is in his 25th year of coaching baseball and his 10th year at Harrison High School. He has been an assistant coach for 1 year at Tullahoma HS (TN), 2 years at Lincoln Memorial University (TN), 3 years at Franklin County HS (TN), 8 years at Hillgrove HS (GA), and 1 year as the Head Baseball Coach at Peachtree Ridge HS (GA).
Coach Evans is a school counselor at Harrison. He is married to Kelly Evans and they have 3 children, Brooklyn and twins Sophie and Emma.

Varsity Assistant Coach
Chris Widing
Coach Widing is a 2002 graduate of East Paulding High School in Dallas, GA where he participated in baseball and football. He was selected in the 2002 MLB Amateur Draft by the Atlanta Braves.
Coach Widing went on to play baseball collegiately for Coach Rick Robinson at Young Harris College, helping the Mountain Lions compete in two District Tournaments. Widing continued his career at Charleston Southern University for Coach Jason Murray.
Coach Widing is entering his 13th year of coaching, and 4th year at Harrison High School. He been an assistant coach for 2 years at Young Harris College, 3 years at the University of North Georgia, 1 year at Hillgrove High School, and 3 years at Paulding County High School.
Coach Widing is a Special Education teacher with the Math Department.

Varsity Assistant Coach
Mic Knox
Mic Knox graduated from Harrison High School in 1997. He was a four-year varsity letterman for Coaches Mike Power and Mark Elkins. He was selected as a team captain his junior and senior seasons, where the team accomplished several goals together: Region Champions and State Playoffs Final Eight.
His senior season he batted .433 with 11 home runs and 54 RBIs. His career pitching record was 23-5 with the lowest ERA on the team: 1.88 ERA (1996) and 2.42 ERA (1997). Mic also received several awards such as Atlanta Braves 400 Club Player of the Year, 1st Team All Cobb County, and Cobb County Player of the Year. He played summer baseball for coaches Guerry Baldwin, Jeff Guy and Davis May on the East Cobb Astros. He was the Most Valuable Player (1995) and East Cobb Astros Defensive Player of the Year Award (1994, 1995, 1996). He was selected to play for Team Georgia (1997) and received the Carl Harrison High School Leadership Award.
After graduation, he played for coach Ray Tanner at the University of South Carolina. He played 59 of 62 games as a Freshman at first base. He hit .253 with 9 doubles, and hit home runs against Alabama, Arkansas, Marshall, Ole Miss and Vanderbilt. In 2000, he transferred to Georgia State University to play for Head coach Mike Hurst. While at Georgia State, he led the team in doubles, runs and hit double-digit home runs in his junior and senior seasons—and made the All TAAC Conference Team.
​In 2002, Mic earned an undergraduate degree in Business from J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University. He later earned a Master of Divinity from Reformed Theological Seminary. Mic and his wife, Adrianne, have been married 18 years and live in West Cobb. They have three children.
